Baby girl was sick… which means lots of book reading and some tv. We sacked out one weekend morning (pjs until noon, woot!) and watched the start of the Iditarod. We’re rootin’ for Mushers Aliy Zirkle, Dallas Sevey and Martin Buser.
We love basketball. I mentioned that already, right?
Mornings with Rachel… eating lunch on the go and having fun at a little kids gym:

Day hike with the kids. Yes, Josh bounced that basketball as we walked the trail.
Spring green is popping up everywhere… from pockets of fresh clover to the ever lovely poison oak (top left):
Sketching in our nature journals (things God made) after our hike:

Birthday party at Del Mar. Our good friends live (and work) on base (Camp Pendleton) so they get to rent out these perfect little beach cottages for special occasions. Like their son’s birthday.
The area has a wonderful little calm cove, kids playground, and waves for the surfer set. Rachel and her sweet friend J:
I love Rachel’s big belly here…
Rock jumping, grilled hot dogs, surfing, insane sunsets and glow sticks after dark:
S’mores (in sets of eight) are a sure bet when you hang out with the McKeemans… they are professional ‘mallow roasters:

Lastly, Homeschool Day at SeaWorld. Oh man are we blessed to get to live here?!? God is good.
$6/person to go to SeaWorld is such a great deal. We were there with our homeschool co-op and had great time with friends, rays, dolphins, flamingos, polar bears, and this fabulous walrus:
On our way out of the park… getting drenched by the spray of the Atlantis Water ride (Sarah, friend James, Rachel, Josh and Zac):
blessings,
Wendi
