Freezer Dinners
I recently picked up a daily internet flash deal for an order of freezer dinners at a local "make and take" dinner store. The shop lays out all the ingredients (my entrees included lemon villa chicken with couscous, stir fry cashew chicken, crispy coconut chicken, chicken mirabella and tuscan chicken), and I assembled the meals in ziploc bags, raw, then take them home to store in the freezer until we're ready to cook and use them. My girlfriend Cassie joined me and we had a great time chatting as we tossed together meals for our families. Such a fun evening!

Morning Run
I ran 10 miles with the always lovely Alisa this morning. We took a post-run dip in the cool ocean waves afterwards, so refreshing. Oh my how I do enjoy this time of fellowship and exercise. Alisa completes a half marathon (13.1mi) basically once a month in races around San Diego and LA. Yes, I tell her she's crazy. My goal is to run "only" 2 halfs per year (what a slacker). I've never run a half w/o this girl by my side and I don't think I'd be successful if I tried. She's such a blessing.
And you can bet I took a "I ran 10 miles this morning" nap that afternoon.

Happy girl.
Over the last several months, Sarah has been busy memorizing bible verses to earn points at Sunday School. She had her eyes set on the Reward Center Grand Prize: 2,500 points for a Wii. What put her over the top? Memorizing a whole book of the bible. Next time you see her ask her to recite 2 John.
Way to go Sarah!

Messy faced Zac (still licking his peanut butter and jelly lunch sandwich off his face). Sheesh. Who is his mother and why doesn't she wipe his face for cryin' out loud?
Sarah and Josh are tall enough to ride the "big kid" water slides (the tower in the background), so they often do that together while Zac, Rachel and I enjoy the 2.5 foot wading pool, lazy river, and "small kid" slides.
The laying down in this photo didn't last but a mere 5 seconds.

This is a special edition of 10 on 10 because it was Zac's 4th birthday! We thank the good Lord for him. His special requests for the day included a beach birthday party, bowling (at Surf Bowl), space shuttle oreo cupcakes and german pancakes for breakfast.
