Finding beauty in the ordinary… and thanking God for it!

Boxed up our “My Father’s World” Exploring Contries and Cultures curriculum… it sold in 15 minutes flat, yay!  We loved MFW this year.

Summer school:  flying things!

Free kids lunch coupons at Wendys from last year’s library reading program.  Also we played telephone:

A trip to the library where Sarah and Josh learn how to use the dewey decimal system:

A very red dinner:  Bacon, red pepper and tomato sandwiches.

8am Jeff goes to have the tires rotated with sjr at Discount Tire

9:30 Jeff an kids return with white rose bush (my mothers day gift), 5 gallon bucket lid, tile for bathroom 

9:45 Wendi goes to costco. Purchase Heavy items like Gatorade, v8 juice and laundry detergent

10:20 unload Accord, kids help

Jeff loads twin bed to take to Cliffs

Jeff and kids go to barn raising party (friend of Jeff’s from his ultimate frisbee group)

12:30 josh soccer game

2:30 Sarah game

I nap ahhhhh

4:30 I go to zac's game, Rachel falls asleep

7pm Jamie Heuring comes over to pick up wood bed, chat w friends

8pm Jeff goes to look at Craig's list inflatable raft, but it’s a no go because of missing oars

A few highlights from our winter…

A new year!

Golden Birthdays!  Sarah turned 11yo on Feb 11, and Rachel was 4yo on Feb 4, so we had a “golden Garland girls” birthday bash (they’re each holding a sparkler here):

Summer is here!  A few spring highlights…

Awana has wrapped up for the year. We (heart) Awana!

Sarah, Josh and Zac all got to compete in Awana Games:

We camped at Housekeeping Camp and enjoyed the many wonderful sights and sounds of the Valley.

Bikes were our main form of transportation… here with Half Dome as our backdrop:

Rachel learned to ride a 2-wheel bike, yahoo!
