Hatched.

Remember these 3 little lovelies (nestled in our backyard bush)?

Happy birthday!

Mmmmmm.

It doesn't get much better than fresh strawberries (Zac and I picked these in the fields this morning) dipped in powdered sugar.

Very cool.

Easter 2011

Cousin time.

My cousin, Rick and his bride Amy were visiting San Diego and were able to join us for a meal.

Happy Easter!

He has risen, indeed!

Dress-up.

 He's dark and mysterious.

He can fly!
Hooo boy is he fast too.

It's upside-down goggle boy!
Too bad Upside-down Goggle boy wasn't able to avoid falling in the pool recently.
Those goggles would have really come in handy if he'd had them on during his unexpected dip.

My boys and their in-depth communication skills.

 WOW  (fingers = W, mouth = O).

 MOM.

 WOW.

Grandpa's Memorial Service.

Pre-service photos.

I just love this photo of my sister!

 Mom and Dad.

 Dad and James.

 Mom, Stacy and me.

My parents held a reception on their backyard patio.

Josh, drenched.  He accidentally fell into the pool during the reception.  He does things like that.

 Yummy food.

Good friends.

Grandpa, circa 1997, with his brightly colored socks.

Dad, James, Aunt Caroline and I proudly wore colorful socks in Grandpa's memory.

Hangin' around.

Tasty Tomb.

We made a fun Easter snack today.  The white marshmallow represents the body of Jesus wrapped in white.  We rolled the marshmallow in butter and cinnamon sugar and wrapped it in refrigerator biscuit dough, creating our tomb.  After the rolls are baked, you bite in and discover... the marshmallow is gone... an empty tomb!

Matthew 28:6:  "He is not here; he has risen, just as he said."

I'll cling to that promise!
