Mother’s Day is such a great day because it’s like it’s every mom’s birthday all on the same day.
We headed to our typical Mother’s Day outing: a picnic at the Oceanside Harbor.
First, a few Mothers Day Memories:
2008 at the Harbor.
Mothers Day 2010 (Rachel was a newborn… probably napping here). Love Sarah’s cast.
Back to this year…
2 fried eggs on toast, served in bed. I loved it.
My and my brood.
Church, and then to the harbor for lunch and a scooter ride around the bay.
So, so thankful for the 2 moms in my life:
Jeff’s mom.
My mom.
"When you are exasperated by interruptions, try to remember that their very frequency may indicate the value of your life. Only people who are full of help and strength are burdened by other persons' needs. The interruptions which we chafe at are the credentials of our indispensability. The greatest condemnation that anybody could incur - and it is a danger to guard against - is to be so independent, so unhelpful, that nobody ever interrupts us, and we are left comfortably alone."

Other activities…
Jeff’s hiking boots after his trip to Yosemite. Thank the good Lord for duct tape.
Mountain man: Sarah feels Daddy’s scruffy face after 5 days of no shaving.
Snuggle Bugs with their favorite blankets (thanks Susan!).
Have you ever played toilet tag? If you’re tagged, you have to squat down and hold your hand out as your “handle” and hope someone comes by to flush (free) you.
Car wash day. I love washing cars. Seriously.
Pirate ship.
Back in the pool again. Summer is coming…
Speaking of pools…I love our school carpool! Our 8 seat van filled by 8 super cute passengers. I will miss this over the summer.
Lunchtime.
The kids are running their first 5k tomorrow morning!
Have a great weekend.
blessings,
Wendi
