Monday April 7 :: We “cashed in” on a flash deal (Living Social) we bought back in January: one night in a fancy hotel overlooking the Flower Fields in Carlsbad (Grand Pacific Palisades). It was a family friendly resort with several swimming pools, hot tubs, a basketball court, game room (foosball and air hockey) and much more. Perfectly warm temperatures kept us in the family swimming pool most of the time:
The devoted Mr. Garland works 5 miles from the hotel, so he kept his regular work schedule. He picked up a half cheese half supreme pizza for dinner that we polished off:
The Ranunculus were spectacular:

After an amazing sunset, we headed back to the pool for a night swim with Daddy:
Watching March Madness Championship game in our room… We don’t have live TV at home so Jeff was slightly thrilled to discover he could watch the last game in our room (this is his “tv” gaze):

Those purple arm floaty things we got for Rachel at Costco are awesome. The sprayground was a hit.
