Josh 3rd grade, Sarah 5th grade, Zac Kinder, Rachel Pre-school.
We started off our first day of school like it was a normal day of studies.
After breakfast, I announced that we were taking a science field trip that day. And what could be better than studying animals (our science topic this year)… at the zoo?
The kids were totally surprised and absolutely thrilled. We met up with the Cliff Family at the Zoo entrance (also a surprise to the kids!) for a fun day at the San Diego Zoo:
Climbing like Koalas do:
Zac’s imitation of a Koala bear… boy do they sleep a lot!
Look… a Koala that is actually awake! Barely?
Keeping it academic:
8 sweeties on a not-so-sweet mountain lion:
Elephant playing with his suspended toy pipe (I love his open mouth):
Polar Bears:
Spying a swimming polar bear:
Josh and Elliot:
Gondola Sky Ride:
We loved the Insect House:
Flashback time…What a difference 2 years makes:
Rachel… still poking the eye of the saber tooth tiger:
We’ll be back for more. The school year is off to a great start!
