Before I get to the obligatory Easter photos, here’s another UCSD Baseball game with friends:
And we’ve got tadpoles! Our neighbors have frog eggs in their accidental backyard pond, so they give them away so others can enjoy watching the development. Here’s our little swimmers so far (little specks in the bottom of the jar):
One of my dear friends, Jennifer (aka Mrs. Hansen), is teaching a sewing class for Sarah and several of her friends. We’ve made two projects (on two separate days) so far. I cannot tell you what a joy this class has been! To hear the humming machines and see the girls learn to master their stitching skills… wonderful! The younger kids (and most of the boys) love playing together outside the sewing room.
Project #1: flannel pillowcases. Sarah LOVES sleeping on hers every night now.
Project #2: Cloth dinner napkins.
Nature hike: Loving the green hills right now…
Our monthly visit with the Alzheimer's patients at our local “old people’s home.”
Okay… here’s the Easter onslaught!
Our church’s annual Easter outreach carnival: Eggapalooza!
Cotton candy, snow cones, pony rides, petting zoo, ferris wheel… all conveniently located in our church’s parking lot! And it’s all free… so it’s an especially popular day.
Oh and I almost forgot what most kids come for: the egg hunt.
“Hunting” skills not required.
Our sweet friend Sage petting a baby goat. See that yellow chick “tattoo” on her hand?
A highly trained and skilled tattoo artist put that on for her.
Garland Easter eggs: wrapped in electrical tape before dying.
Sweet Rachel:
The loot:
Have a great weekend!
blessings,
Wendi
