Our sweet Rachel turned 2 last week and celebrate… we did! My mom was here for a few days (we missed my dad as he was in Breckenridge, CO on his annual ski trip), and we had a great time with her!
Visions of love.
Rachel wasn’t too sure about the glasses. This photo is priceless in my book:
Crazy Grandmom.
This is for my brother James:
He has his guitars mounted on a wall hooks, and I was jealous. So the devoted Mr. Garland put one up for me. It’s so much easier to just pick it up and play now.
And then there was celebrating!
The devoted Mr. Garland decorated the cake, as always.
Our dining room doubles as our school room so don’t mind the white- and bulletin-boards here.
Leftover Oreo (TJ’s chocolate Joe-Joes) ice cream cake.
Little sister loved her ice cream treat.
We also made a little birthday side-trip.
We’re official Disney pin collectors! (Thanks to Laura, my college roommate, for the tip!) 30 pins cost $14 on ebay, then the kids trade with any Disneyland staff member, and they won’t refuse you. My mom made the fun lanyards. So fun for the kids, and it didn’t cost me an arm and a leg (like everything else in Disneyland).
More birthday fun ahead… Sarah’s 9th is up next!
Happy Valentine’s Day!
We love because he first loved us! 1 John 4:19
blessings, Wendi
