We had some running club friends/families over for NYE festivities.
We celebrated New Foundland’s New Year at 8pm by popping balloons, telling jokes and a little apple cider bubbly.
Good times with good friends.
6 in a bed? Oh, yes. And no it didn’t last long.
See? 2 boys next to each other = fights every 3 seconds. The devoted Mr. Garland is protecting his baby girl from the 2 savage beasts.
Our Christmas tree is gone, but the train tracks remain…
Josh still loves his Legos, just in case you were worried.
When they’re not fighting (which is honestly most of the time), the boys enjoy fun handmade (and very cool Zoku) popsicles (thanks, Aunt Julie!):
Sarah got some hand-me-down love. She’s in American Girl heaven!
Headbandz gaming with good friends:
(I believe that pink blob on the left is Rachel rolling off of the ottoman. Good times.)
Our kitchen whiteboard, where all the action is:
We often keep a “countdown” going in the upper right corner of the board.
X days until Christmas
X days until 2012
What cracks me up is that the devoted, and very clever, Mr. Garland remembered that 2012 was a leap year, so his “366 Days until 2013” was spot on.
New Years Day, we joined up with more friends for a BBQ at Moonlight Beach:
Totally stole this photo from Cassie’s blog. Love her!
We rode our bikes around Miramar Lake (a 5mi loop) which was a first for us:
We also spent two days at the swimming pool this week.
Yes, it’s tough to live in San Diego. Really, it does get cold here sometimes.
I own a scarf and we all wear jackets occasionally, promise.
The boys would like to wear shorts every.day.of.the.year.
January is just confused this year.
Now that I think about it, it was confused last year too:
Crazy.
My sweet Sarah (8yo) made our lunch one day this week. Dino chicken nuggets, cheese slices, catsup and glasses of milk. We ate picnic style out on our front lawn.
Have a great weekend!
blessings,
Wendi
