We got to go for a Sunday ride (it's still so hard not to say that we went on a 'sail'!) on Grandmom and Grandad's new (to them) boat. They've named the boat the Orion. Oh what fun it is to drive around, seeing the many wonderful sights from the water. Party boats, tug boats, kayakers, fishermen... there's always so much harbor action.
How fun is it to see a tug boat named "Sarah"?
Josh, Grandmom and Rachel. Have you ever seen a smaller yellow life vest? So sweet.
Zac and the devoted Mr. Garland on the flybridge.
Zac climbing down the ladder off the flybridge.
Mom and Rachel enjoying snacks.
Dad didn't drive the boat once... he was out front on the bow enjoying the sights with his grandkids. He loved sitting back, letting Jeff do all the work. (Jeff loved it too.)
Hey! What do you think this is? A Sprite commercial?!? Get that kid outta here. Sheesh.
(A boat ride is never complete without a soda... simple treats.)
Sarah and Jeff on the flybridge, going under an auto bridge.
Zac takes a break on the cabin bed. The captain can pilot the boat from either the flybridge or the cabin. You can see the top of the steering wheel on the right.
One happy Grandad...
...and one happy Grandmom.
These feet are very happy too.
Dad, Sarah and Jeff on the way to Orion's mooring. So long for now!
