Kimonos

We are so blessed by our next door neighbors... they moved here almost a year ago and we love them! Yuko generously volunteered to show S (6 yrs old, 1st grade) her collection of beautiful kimonos for our school unit on Japan. I honestly don't know how in the world Japanese women wear these sandals/shoes (called Zori). I'm pretty sure they don't make them in my size 11.
Kimono is a traditional Japanese dress and it simply means a thing to wear. Obi is a belt to hold the Kimono. Zori are Japanese sandals worn with Kimono. Geta are casual sandals.
