July 20-26, 2014: Our 6th consecutive year at Forest Home Family Camp. Man do we love our week up in the mountains.
We love our time together as a family. Jeff and I love the bible teachings. We love the activities. We love the ice cream shakes.

Family Camp top 10:
1. Inspiration Point Pancake Breakfast (it's early but soooo worth it)
2. Fantastic speakers who love Jesus (Mike Erre, Darrin McWatters and worship by Drew Bray)
3. Ice cream shakes (Oreo please)
4. Morning Adult Free Time (Jeff and I could take a lovely nap)
5. Pool time (family basketball game)
6. Adult Dinners (date nights every night)
7. CrossFit (jeff went twice and was sore... I was super proud of him)
8. Camp experience for the kids (the kids love their day/night classes, competitions and leaders)
9. Awesome food that I didn't prepare and dishes Jeff didn't have to wash
10. Meeting other fun families and quality time with our family – God is so good!
Josh (team orange, riding on tricycle):
Sarah made many new friends, here are some at the lake:
Rachel, face painted at the lake:
Zac loves to kayak:
Huge perk: CCAs (Child care assistants) watch our kids and put them to bed in the evenings so we can go hear the evening speaker, then have “adult time” (eat ice cream in peace) afterwards. Jessica and Sarah were our two fantastic CCAs this year. Jessica has been our CCA for 4 years now.
CCA Sarah:
We were so sorry to hear that there was a flash flood and mudslide after we were there that caused severe damage to the campgrounds. The swimming pool was filled with mud and many buildings were flooded with mud and water. They were able to open up again within 2 weeks, which is truly amazing.
Ropes course, zip line and the giant swing:
Sarah, Josh and Zac on the 3-person giant swing:
Sarah and I on the night zip:
The dining hall:
Cookie the size of Rachel’s head:
Now this is awesome:
Jeff caught many water balloons in this orange basket during lake day activities:
The devoted Mr. Garland won a Homie (the green cup) for the airplane throwing competition:
Our very own church worship leader, Marlena, was at camp one night!
We have decided we will be taking a break from camp next summer… we’ll miss it. (We’re saving up for a family trip to Washington DC.)
