Family Camp 2013 (Forest Home)

Family camp at Forest Home has become an annual tradition in the Garland Home.

2009:

Our 5th year…2013:

The speaker for our week, Erik Thoennes (professor at Biola University), spoke about sin…. so convicting and wonderful at the same time.  He helped us remember that we are nothing without our Lord.

Worship was wonderful, the kids always love their teachers and classes.  Highlights are watching people launch off the “BLOB,” canoes at the Lake, and zipline rides. Here’s the new pool!

Pizza with salad night is always a hit.  Every meal is a hit with me because I don’t cook it or clean up after it.  #heaven

My bff’s daughter Jessica was our awesome CCA (child care assistant) all week.  She watched the kids at our cabin while the devoted Mr. Garland and I got to attend the adult session each evening.   The kids would go to the mini golf course, or play games in the den.  (Sarah was off with her 4-6th grade group having a blast.)  Such a great time for all!
