On our drive to Palm Springs we saw lots and lots of windmills.
Friends recommended a Desert Hot Springs hotel with inexpensive winter rates... it was such a fun get-away. We brought most of our food, using our hotel's fridge and microwave. Here Sarah and Rachel help unload the cooler.
We made pool friends quickly. The hotel's highlight is the 8 hot spring pools located in the courtyard. Pool temps range from a "cool" 85 degrees (the large pool), several "medium" 90-100 degree pools and two "hot" 100+ pools (more like hot tubs). Something for everyone.
Rachel loved the warm hot springs... she sat in her floaty and could have stayed in the water for hours. So relaxing.
I enticed Sarah and Josh to get up early with me to enjoy a warm dip as we watched the sunrise. Beautiful.

So, worth the trip? You'll have to give frugal mum me the 411 on a good, somewhat local vacation! Love the photos!
