Our sweet newborn R was diagnosed with a hip click, Developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH), also known as congenital hip dysplasia. She'll be wearing this brace for the first few months of life. We're not too concerned, and are thankful that it was caught early. We'll visit the pediatric orthopedic specialist a few times. The brace is comfortable for her (more an inconvenience for us as we have to remove it for every diaper and clothing change), and we pray that it will take care of the problem.

ReplyDeleteFirst of all, R is so adorable! What a beautiful girl!!
ReplyDeleteSecond, I've never heard of that, but that's great news that you discovered it early and will (Lord willing) all be fine in afew months. How did you discover it?
