Bilirubin

R had to be on a bilirubin light for her first few days home to fight jaundice. The light was a thin panel of blue light that we placed on her back 24/7. It did the trick, and after a few days her levels came down and we were able to take her off the light. She was our cute glow-worm baby. So thankful for at-home conveniences like this one, and that she didn't have to go back into the hospital to be under the light. Daily clinic visits for blood draws were not fun. Her poor heel became a battered pin cusion, sweet thing.
